Job Description

As part of our strategic expansion into the UK market, we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager. This role is crucial for the successful rollout of our energy flexibility solutions across the UK, ensuring seamless implementation, operation, and client satisfaction.

Context of this challenging position opening

Voltalis is expanding outside France for the first time to offer UK consumers, heated by electricity, its intelligent consumption control solution, thereby reducing their bills and carbon footprint.

In close collaboration with the UK Managing Director and the marketing and sales teams, you will ensure the, scheduling, and monitoring of Voltalis deployment operations.

Upon taking your position, you will initially join our head office team in Paris for up to 2 to 3 weeks, which is dedicated to improving processes, methods, and operational performance of operations. This period of immersion and training, working closely with field teams, products, and IT, will enable you to understand the key success factors for deploying our solutions

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of deployment projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.

Coordination and Communication

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and sales, to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the deployment phase, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.

Technical Implementation

  • Oversee the installation and integration of Voltalis’ energy flexibility solutions at client sites.

  • Ensure all technical aspects of deployments meet Voltalis’ standards and regulatory requirements.

Quality Assurance

  • Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure high standards of deployment.

  • Conduct post-deployment reviews and implement improvements based on feedback.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement in deployment processes.

  • Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.

  • Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and key performance indicators.

 Please note that you will travel extensively throughout the United Kingdom and will visit the headquarters in Paris.

You will be among the very first employees of the UK subsidiary, so the prospects for evolution are rapid and diverse, either by staying in the UK in team management functions, at the corporate office in Paris, or to support the opening of other countries.

Preferred Experience

Education:

  • Qualifications in Project Management, or a related field. A Degree is a plus.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or deployment management within the energy sector. Experience with demand response or smart grid technologies is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Perfectly bilingual in English/French, entrepreneurial in spirit, you love challenges and have excellent ability to quickly switch from one topic to another, from one urgency to another.

  • You have solid experience in managing complex operational projects in the telecoms, transport, facility management sectors, or with a water, gas, or electricity supplier.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Technical proficiency in energy systems and deployment processes.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.

  • You are driven by the constant search for progress and operational efficiency.

  • You are proficient in tools such as MS Project, Power BI, Monday.com and, of course, Excel.
